PREVIEW - When the Gameboy Advance was released in Japan, Konami shipped out a golf game called JGTO Golf Masters. You can basically take that game, take away the anime style graphics, change the name and BAM you got ESPN Final Round Golf 2002.

As I said above, ESPN Final Round Golf 2002 is just a changed version of JGTO Golf Masters for the North American stores. All the Japenese features has stayed the same, so you will still be able to do Stroke, Match, and Tournament on your choice of 5 courses, and 14 golfers (some are hidden.) Don't expect golfers like Tiger Woods though because this game lacks the PGA license. The biggest change in the games transfer to North American shores is the changed graphic style. It was changed from an anime style to a much more realistic style.

Since ESPN Final Round Golf 2002 is using the same engine as JGTO Golf Masters it will have "fly-by" course view, using Gameboy Advance's excellent graphic capabilities. The game also still have all the weather affects such as rain, wind, night and day, which affect the way your ball flys in the air.

The game will also have a multiplayer mode, which will allow up to four-players to challenge each other. Sorry cheapskates, everyone needs a cartridge to play this one.

With Konami planning a mid-summer release for ESPN Final Round Golf 2002, this golf game for Gameboy Advance is shaping up to be a good one.
